Butterfly Art

Notan

This art progect is awesome because I have never done anything like it before. First I stated with a 12-12 white piece of paper and a 6-6 black piece of paper and I drew designs on the black paper with a pencil so I could erase if I needed to. After I got my design that I wanted I cut out out all the shapes and set them aside. Once all my shapes were cut out I laid the black paper down on the white one and then placed the cute out shapes right acossed from where they came out of the original black paper. Then I glued it all down.

Zentangled Scratchboard

Zentangled art is really fun but messy to do. When I started I first got my paper and I colored on it with oil pastels and water color and when that had all dried. I painted over the whole thing with black tempera paint I put a few coats on so it would cover my bright colors underneath. After everything was dry I started to scratch the paint off with a knife and a penny. I made sure I made two of these so I could have a test one and then a real one. I made my design mostly with the knife but it was very messy and hard to get the black paint off but it was a lot of fun.

Alien Name

Doing this Alien name was so fun and different I have never done anything else like it. First you start by folding a colored paper and writing your name on it and then making the letters organic and bubbly looking. Then you cut on the bubbly lines and then after you done cutting you have to open your fold up and  lay it onto another paper. When you have glued you creator down I started to color what I wanted its world to look like.

Dinosaur

I started this project by cutting out different pieces of cardboard and first making a design out of them, when I had the right sizes and pieces that I wanted I stated to hot glue them together, after I had the shape that I wanted I finished up gluing and stated to color the cardboard to make it look realistic and not just unfinished.

100 Colors

Doing this paint project was a lot of fun because I didn't know you could make so many colors. First I started by painting all the basic colors that I had to use on the paper, they were, yellow, red, blue, white, black and brown. After that I started mixing and mixing to get all the different colors as I painted them on my paper.

African Mask

This Mask was lot of fun to make. First I started with a empty milk jug and cut it into the shape that I wanted and then I painted it with black paint and let it dry, second I hot glued some colored beans around the eyes and down the face to make it have some texture and then I cut some field grass down and hot glued that onto the back of the mask to make it look like it had hair and also to give it some texture.

Paper plate mask

This project is really fun because it is easy yet creative, first I started by hot gluing a paper plate to a paint string stick.so I had a mask that I could hold over my face. The next thing I did was cut out eye holes inside the paper plate so that you could see through them. Next I got out my markers and just colored whatever design I wanted and you can do anything you want.

Water Color Experiment

This project was a lot of fun because I didn't know that you could do this with water colors. I started this by getting all my supply's ready and then I got all the things I was going to put under the paint. the things I used was a cotton ball, salt, tape, crayon, glue, wax paper. So I put all of this stuff on the paper first and then I painted over it and some of the things would let the paint cover it and something just socked in the paint.

Water Color Flower

This are project was to design a water color picture, I started this by getting my paint and my water ready and then I just kind of just started to paint on the paper and I just knew that I wanted to paint a flower. I stared by doing the inside circle and then just worked my way out from there. I loved this because it was kind of a fun project because I fell when students do this they can take their own twist on what they want to paint and it is just fun to see what they will create.

T-shirt Painting

This art project was a little messy and I would recommend this art for a higher grade class. But I stated this by drawing a practice piece so I knew my design, when I got the design right then I laid out my t-shirt and drew the design out with glue and let that dry. when it was all dry I watered down paint and put into a bowl and brushed it on to the shirt and let that dry. At the end I washed the shirt out and the paint came off where the glue was and then I had almost had a tie-dye shirt. It was a lot of fun but a lot of work and fun.

Foil

For this art project I cut a piece of cardboard into a 8-8 sheet and then I got my tinfoil ready and I used a hot glue gun to make the heart design and all the other shapes and while that was still hot I placed the tin foil on top on it and didn't push it down right away because I didn't want the glue to squish out flat so I let the dry, for a little bit then I pushed the tin foil around the raised glue underneath and then after I got all the foil down and where I wanted it. I started to color in the foil with sharpies but I didn't color the raised glue part so that it would make the design stand out.
